UKIPPO annual Conference 5th September 2026 – Oral Presentation Guidelines
Note: We are accepting oral presentations only.
Important Dates:
- Abstract submissions open: 12/06/2026
- Deadline for abstract submission: 20/07/2026
- Announcement of acceptance: 03/08/26
- Deadline for presenter registration and PowerPoint slides submission: 14/08/2026

Abstract Submission Guidelines:
- Title: Must be in ALL CAPS
- Limit: 30 words
- Authors: List all authors as they should appear in the Final Programme.
- Identify the presentencing author on the day by underlining the name.
- Include institutional affiliations for all authors.
- Declaration of interest and copyright declaration: Confirm that the work is original and has not been plagiarized.
- Confirm that all the necessary permissions and approvals have been obtained from relevant organisations, supervisors, collaborators, and sponsors where applicable.
- State whether ethical approval, institutional approval, or audit/QI registration was obtained.
- Indicate whether the work has been previously presented or published elsewhere.
- Abstract Text: Minimum: 150 words
- Maximum: 300 words
- Submit as a Microsoft Word document (.docx). Use Arial 11-point font, single spacing.
- File name format: Surname_FirstAuthor_AbstractTitle.docx
- Keywords: Maximum of 3 (only the first 3 will be recognized)
- Figures & Tables:

- Max 1 table: up to 5 columns & 10 rows
- Max 1 figure: ▪ Format: JPG, BMP, or GIF
- ▪ Max: 350 pixels, 200 KB
- Overall max of 2 visual elements (e.g., 1 table + 1 figure)
- Figures/tables should have max width 9 cm and resolution up to 150 dpi
- Abbreviations: Spell out fully at first mention, followed by abbreviation in parentheses.
- Redaction Rights: The Scientific Committee may edit submissions.

- Original Research
- Quality Improvement and service evaluation Projects
- Audits
- Case Series / Case Reports Introduction
Abstract Structure:
Research, QI, Service Evaluation and Audit submissions: Background, Aim/Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
Case Series/Reports: Introduction, Case Description, Discussion, Learning Points.
CME committee reserves the right to make the final decision on acceptance based on the scoring criteria.

Oral Presentation Guidelines:
• Accepted oral presentations must be delivered in person. Virtual or pre-recorded presentations will not be accepted.
• Authors who are unable to attend after acceptance should notify the organising committee as soon as possible. Failure to present without prior notice may affect future submissions.
• The 3 highest-scoring oral presentations will be considered for awards.
